15 de set. de 2026

From:

1:30 PM

To:

2:00 PM

- Theresa Kananen, Partner, AGG
- Deana Rich, Co-Founder, Infinicept

Join Theresa Kananen and Deana Rich for a practical session on how to navigate one of the trickiest areas in payments: passing costs on to customers. We’ll cover Visa and Mastercard rules alongside state regulations, with clear, actionable guidance on staying compliant. We’ll break down the key differences between: • Surcharges – fees added to credit card transactions under strict card-brand and state rules • Cash Discounts – how to properly frame incentives for cash payments • Service Fees – industry-specific charges and their limitations • Convenience Fees – when and where they are allowed We’ll also highlight state “hot spots” where enforcement and rules differ or are more restrictive, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and Oklahoma, so you know where to tread carefully. You’ll leave with practical tips, examples, and a roadmap to ensure your pricing models comply with both card-brand and state requirements. Bring your questions, along with lunch, this session will include plenty of time for open discussion with the experts.

Deepfakes, AI Images, and Fraud-as-a-Service: The Fraudster Toolbox

15 de set. de 2026

From:

2:15 PM

To:

2:45 PM

- Felipe De Carli, Senior Payments Risk, Coinbase
- Eduardo Pires, Director of Fraud Prevention, Incognia

Can deepfakes really bypass facial biometrics? The short answer is yes, they can. Deepfakes don't necessarily need to fool the human eye; they just need to trick the system. Fraudsters are increasingly using techniques that exploit weaknesses in facial biometric verification. Traditional detection approaches are struggling to keep up. Join Eduardo Pires, Director of Fraud Solutions at Incognia and Felipe De Carli, Senior Payments Risk at Coinbase, for a session on how AI deepfakes are reshaping digital identity, including: - AI-generated image fraud and other attack techniques - Why deepfake detection alone can't keep up - How grounding identity in the physical world creates a stronger defense Whether you're skeptical or already concerned, join us and bring your questions.

Nicotine, Reinvented: Staying Ahead of a Category Regulators Struggle Pin Down

15 de set. de 2026

From:

2:15 PM

To:

2:45 PM

- Ted James, Global Risk Management Counsel, LegitScript
- Luca Jarone, Key Account Manager, LegitScript
- Andrew Masterleo, Head of Monetized Policy, Trust & Safety, Spotify

Developments in nicotine keep moving faster than the rules meant to govern them. New devices, new nicotine sources, and new delivery formats show up faster than FDA authorizations, state laws, or platform policies can keep pace. For marketplaces and social platforms, that gap turns into real exposure: banned listings that slip through, user generated content that promotes unauthorized products, and customers who buy items that get yanked off shelves nationwide. This session gets you up to speed on the nicotine landscape. We'll cover what's authorized for sale in the US under the FDA's Premarket Tobacco Product Application process, how synthetic and non-tobacco nicotine changed the compliance picture, and why products like breath strips, mints, and toothpicks laced with nicotine sit in a regulatory blind spot most platforms haven't accounted for. We'll also dig into how US and EU rules diverge on synthetic nicotine, since a product restricted in one jurisdiction might be sold freely in another. You'll leave with a better understanding of what's legal to advertise and sell, where PACT Act shipping and age verification rules bite hardest, and practical checkpoints for catching unauthorized ENDS products before they show up in your ads, your marketplace, or your users' posts.

Persona Room

Reducing the Time to Detect and Mitigate Emerging Risk Trends

15 de set. de 2026

From:

2:15 PM

To:

2:45 PM

- Nicholas Aldridge, Co-Founder & CEO, MouseCat
- Mark Garza, Director of Risk Operations, GoDaddy

Fraud trends change quickly and can often only be recognized once losses begin materializing. While models and rules are highly effective at detecting historical patterns, quickly identifying and mitigating novel abuse requires risk domain expertise and often significant effort mining data. In this talk, practitioners from GoDaddy and MouseCat will discuss how AI has accelerated the identification and mitigation of new trends. Topics will include the latest techniques for clustering users, generating hypotheses, finding potential signals, and translating those into high precision rules.
