Recap: Sharing Economy Global Summit 2020

Last week, our second annual Sharing Economy Global Summit welcomed nearly 350 attendees at the historic Lloyd’s of London - the original insurance marketplace. Stakeholders from the global sharing economy represented nearly 40 countries for three days of education, networking and information sharing focused around risk management, trust & safety and legal strategy. Presented by Aon and Checkr, this annual conference is designed to equip the sharing economy industry groups and startups with effective risk management and legal strategies that will enable them to launch, grow and, ultimately, exit successfully. In short, it is our goal to use this conference as a launching point to grow the global sharing economy.

In our biggest Global Summit to date, the program was organized along three distinct tracks: property, services and transportation. Over 100 speakers and industry experts focused on trust and safety, digital identity, screening, payments and fraud prevention, data privacy and cybersecurity, compliance and regulatory, legal and insurance, product, technology and innovation. Representatives from startups like Airbnb, Turo, Lime and Taskrabbit and multinational companies such as Sterling, GangHut and The Paypers came together to create a stellar lineup that will be difficult to beat in coming years!
