David Wright CBE

David Wright CBE, CEO of SWGfL and Director of the UK Safer Internet Centre, has over 20 years of experience in online safety. Appointed a CBE in 2024 for services to child and youth safety, he advises governments, organizations, and industry on online safety policies and serves as a child protection advisor to the UN ITU. As a Council of Europe expert and WEF member, David has pioneered support resources, including the Revenge Porn Helpline and StopNCII, the first device-side hashing tech for NCII prevention, and has co-authored award-winning research with Plymouth University.
