Abhay Antony

I’ve spent the last 14+ years as a builder inside some of the world's largest consumer technology platforms (Uber, Facebook-Meta, Thumbtack and Roposo). My work sits right at the intersection of product safety, engineering & data analytics, strategy, and operational scale.

Currently, I'm the Senior Director, Trust & Safety for Thumbtack, where I’m focused on modernizing risk programs for the marketplace. A major part of my recent work involves modernizing traditional operations and getting hands-on with Applied AI. I’m leveraging LLMs and GenAI not just to catch bad actors, but to build automated, proactive architectures that can scale faster than the risks do.

Prior to this, I spent years navigating complex regulatory landscapes at Uber and Meta. At Uber, I defined safety policy focussed on User Identity and onboarding across 60 countries. "Among other things" as anyone who has worked at Uber will tell you.

My leadership style is collaborative and service-oriented. I’ve spent the last 5+ years managing global teams and "leaders of leaders" including Senior Managers, Staff level Data Scientists, and large-scale vendor operations in the hundreds. I thrive in the messy middle where Engineering, Product, and Policy meet.
